The Orangutan House

The Orangutan House was established in 1992 as an art-house gallery by Malacca-born artist Charles Cham. It is painted bright yellow with a large orange-Utan mural on the outside. Inside the vicinity is an extensive collection of the artist's contemporary paintings (all for sale) Orangutan House has several outlets throughout Malacca.

San Shu Gong

The four-storey red San Shu Gong building houses a multitude of food items, ranging from flavoured biscuits to healthy drinks. Be sure to grab unique snacks like the crunchy choconut (white chocolate with coconut shreds) or some rice crackers. Lao Qian Ice Cafe, selling specialities like white coffee and milk tea drinks. The store is usually packed with tourists shopping for local produce.

Mahkota Prade

One of Malacca's oldest shopping malls, Mahkota Parade is home to nearly 200 stores. The four-storey shopping centre, opened in 1994, the four-storey shopping mall was recently been refurbished to adopt a new, sleeker style. More than 1,000 parking spaces, the shopping centre is also one of the city 's favourite hangout locations. The mall is located in the centre of the city of Malacca, surrounded by prominent landmarks.

Hatten Square

Hatten Square Suites and Shoppes is a four-storey shopping mall located along Jalan Merdeka. The shopping mall has a number of international brands, namely H&M, Braun Buffel, and more. The mall is interconnected with neighbouring shopping malls, so you can easily cross over. There are up to 1,500 parking bays and specialised zones for lone female drivers.

Go shopping at Jonker Street

This is one of the best sites in Malacca to go shopping at night. A wide variety of items for sale along the road, including souvenirs, antiques, and local handicrafts. Other products such as gadgets and apparel are available for purchase, but the food is one of the best aspects of the night market. Pancakes and waffles, rice balls stuffed with chicken, and cendol, a type of dessert made with jelly, are just a few of the street food delicacies you can expect to find here.
